I designed, planned, and led the constitution/instillation of four live edge redwood benches that still reside along the Ohlone Greenway in Albany, California. I used reclaimed redwood cut from local trees that had overgrown their spots in the sidewalk. I sunk the benches 2.5 feet into the ground and secured them with concrete (they sit about a foot lower than seen in the last picture). This was my first experience getting to design and build something from scratch, and it inspired me to pursue a career in engineering.
